SMOKEY POINT — More intermittent closures will greet drivers this week at the Interstate 5/SR 531 (172nd Street NE) interchange.
Crews will be paving the northbound and southbound I-5 ramps starting Monday, Oct. 5 through Thursday, Oct. 8.
Meghan Soptich Pembroke, spokeswoman for WSDOT, said drivers should expect that two of the five ramps could be closed for up to one and a half hours at any given time.
Detours will available for drivers during the construction.
Pembroke said drivers can expect southbound I-5 on-ramps from both directions of SR 531 to be closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. during paving.
The southbound I-5 off-ramp to SR 531 and the northbound I-5 on-ramp from SR 531 will also be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Finally, crews will closing the northbound I-5 off-ramp to SR 531 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
