On behalf of the Marysville Community Food Bank, we want to thank the caring and generous Marysville community that contributed so generously during the holiday season.

Food donations and financial support came from churches, schools, businesses, service organizations, the Fire and Police departments, city employees, and community members. The Snohomish Thunder, Boy & Girl Scouts, OMCC, community sports teams, food bank volunteers, and individuals brought in almost 40,000 pounds of the donated food during the holidays. The Marysville Noon Rotary and Tulalip Tribes each donated $10,000 toward holiday food purchases. These donations are tremendous and go directly toward providing food for the hungry.

In November and December, the food bank served up to 1,526 Marysville households each month. With the inclement weather, it was a challenge. Many thanks to all who helped, including over 100 volunteers who worked tirelessly for many days to sort, distribute, and deliver to those who receive home delivery service.

The dedicated volunteers also put in hundreds of additional hours moving food and equipment from the old building to the new food bank. With help from Kasilof Fish Co. and others the move was completed in less than two weeks.

We are now open in our new location at 4150 88th Street NE. Our food distribution hours are Tuesdays 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Fridays 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Donations may be brought into the food bank between 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We continue to need food and monetary donations to meet the increasing demand even after the holidays.
