Marysville Police make arrests in Dec. 30 robbery and assault case

MARYSVILLE — Marysville Police have arrested two adult males and an adult female for their involvement in a Dec. 30, 2010 robbery and assault that occurred in Marysville.

MARYSVILLE — Marysville Police have arrested two adult males and an adult female for their involvement in a Dec. 30, 2010 robbery and assault that occurred in Marysville.

On the afternoon of Dec. 30, a 22-year-old Marysville man was robbed in his apartment by two male subjects. During the robbery a handgun was displayed and used to strike the victim in the head causing the gun to fire. The victim suffered non life-threatening gunshot wounds to the ear and neck.

The suspects robbed the man of money, narcotics and an iPod Touch and fled the area in a vehicle.

The victim was able to identify one of the suspects. This suspect had listed the stolen iPod and a MacBook computer on Craigslist for sale. Detectives were able to arrange a meeting to look at the item. The suspect, a 20-year-old Lynnwood man was arrested and booked at the Snohomish County Jail for first-degree robbery and first-degree assault on Jan. 5.

Further investigation led to the development of the other male suspect’s identity, as well as, a female suspect who drove the getaway car. Probable cause for the arrest of both suspects was shared with surrounding law enforcement agencies.

On Jan. 11, 2011 Redmond Police contacted and arrested a 26-year-old Snohomish County man and his 22-year-old girlfriend for the Marysville crimes.

Marysville officers took custody of both suspects from Redmond Police. Both were booked into the Snohomish County Jail for first-degree robbery and first-degree assault.

“We are very pleased that all of the suspects associated with this violent crime have been arrested,” stated Marysville Police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux.
