The Lady Tomahawks won one Wesco North contest and lost another before heading into Christmas break.
M-P began their week with an exciting come from behind overtime victory at Lake Stevens and then saw a late lead evaporate against Monroe at the Jim Linden Fieldhouse 48 hours later.
Friday, Dec. 22, M-P played a seesaw battle against the visiting Lady Bearcats of Monroe before falling 58-52.
The Lady Tomahawks fell to 2-3 in league play and 5-3 overall while Monroe improved to 3-0, 3-3.
Senior guard Nancy Couls led all scorers with 19 points and junior guard Nicole Pederson tallied 13 in the loss.

The Lady Tomahawks basketball team evened their Wesco North league record to 2-2 with a come-from-behind 73-70 overtime victory over Lake Stevens, Wednesday, Dec. 20.
M-P improved to 5-2 overall while the Lady Vikings dropped to 1-1 in league play and 3-1.
The red and white clad Lady Tomahawks were led by the game-high 22 points of junior forward Jessica Masters.
Junior guard Nicole Peterson added 20 points in the exciting league win.
M-P used 80 percent (4-for-5) shooting from the free-throw line to help outscore the Lady Vikings 12-9 in the extra period of play.
