At 12:25 p.m. on April 27, the Marysville School District Office received notice the Marysville-Pilchuck High school campus had gone into lockdown. This was in response to a rumor of a former student possibly coming onto the campus with a weapon. Local authorities informed school district that the student was not on campus and that they believed they knew where the former student was, but as a precaution, the school was still put into lockdown. Administrators worked with local law enforcement officials to ensure the safety of the students.
At 12:49 p.m., the district office received information that the former student was apprehended and the lockdown was lifted. All the students remained safe and accounted for.
