SR 529 scheduled closure for March 1-4 postponed | UPDATE

State Route 529 had been scheduled to be closed in both directions, from First Avenue to Milepost 6, from 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1, until 5 a.m. on Monday, March 4. However, Washington State Department of Transportation Chief Inspector Joe Rooney confirmed on Feb. 28 that this scheduled closure has been postponed, and tentatively rescheduled for the following weekend instead, due to continued inclement weather.

Project contractor Granite Construction Company still needs to perform construction activities that will require this complete closure, during which motorists should use alternate routes, but this construction work is subject to weather conditions, and therefore has the potential to be rescheduled.
