Margaret Marie Hoon, 82, passed away Aug. 30, 2007, in Arlington, Wash.
She was born to Walter and Lillian Jones May 29, 1925, in Fort Wayne, Ind. Margaret graduated from Huntington High School, Huntington, Ind., in 1942, attended Southwest Texas State College and then graduated from University of California at Riverside with a B.S. in Anthropology. This prepared her for what was the joy of her life, being a wife and mother. Margaret also enjoyed sewing, knitting and painting. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. Everyone knew her as a loving, strong, outgoing, faithful, caring and affectionate wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Margaret was preceded in death by her brother Ralph Jones.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Paul Hoon, of Arlington; son, David Hoon, of Houston, Texas; daughters, Nancy Babbs, of Bellevue, Wash., Cynthia Hoon, of Shoreline, Wash., and Jennifer Lucianna, of Stanwood, Wash.; sisters, Cora Sult, of Huntington, and Carol Baker, of Huntington, seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Weller Funeral Home, Arlington. A graveside service followed at Arlington Municipal Cemetery.
