Doris Marie McBroom, 74, of Arlington, Wash., died on Aug. 22, 2007.
She was born May 31, 1933, in Belleville, Ill., the daughter of August and Eva Schack and lived in Des Moines, Iowa, and Las Vegas, Nev., before moving to Washington in 1990.
She married Wayne Glenmore McBroom in February of 1952. Doris worked at the Navy Exchange in Arlington before retiring. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Doris is survived by sons, Kirk McBroom, of Everett, Wash.; and Wayne McBroom, of Meeteetsee, Wyo.; daughter, Susan Elliott, of Bothell, Wash.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ron Schack, of Marysville, Wash.; and Don Schack, of Walla Walla, Wash.
A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18324 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.
