Praise to the Tulalip Tribes and Everett for working together on that $64 million water pipeline. A wonderful event celebrated that accomplishment, which will benefit this area for so many years to come.

Raze to the Marysville School District for not communicating better its plans regarding its “highly capable” program. It upset a lot of people. We are glad some type of compromise is being worked out.
Praise to all involved in putting together the Career Fair at the Tulalip Resort Casino. Even though unemployment is down from what it once was, it is still an important issue for those without jobs and those underemployed.
Raze that Tony Reed received such a short sentence for his involvement in the slaying of an Oso couple. Even the judge said, “It’s not enough time.” But she had to follow the law, which obviously needs to be changed.
Praise to the Marysville School District for sponsoring the Opportunity Expo for underclassmen. It’s great that kids can learn what’s out there in the way of jobs, while they still can do something about it.
Praise that progress is being made on Twin Lakes Landing, which will bring low-income housing to the area.
