MARYSVILLE – Just before 3 p.m. on June 3, Marysville Fire District crews were dispatched to a residential fire in the 16600 block of McRae Road, where they found approximately half of a double-wide mobile home engulfed in flames. Crews quickly contained the fire, but not before it caused substantial damage.
A family of four two sisters and their two young children have been displaced. Red Cross is assisting them. No injuries were reported.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting an investigation.
The contents are a total loss. The family had rental insurance on a portion of the contents.
“Although some of your belongings are irreplaceable, many can be replaced after a house fire, but only if insured,” said Kristen Thorstenson of the Marysville Fire District. “Renters’ insurance can be as inexpensive as $8 to $26 a month.”
