MARYSVILLE — Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring is inviting the city’s citizens to join him for another “coffee klatch.”

The Marysville City Council Chambers will serve as the site for this community get-together from 10-11:30 a.m. on March 22.

Nehring started taking part in such coffee klatches with former Marysville Mayor Dennis Kendall, and has continued the tradition since Kendall stepped down, with Nehring’s first solo coffee klatch taking place last fall. Nehring welcomes input from his constituents through phone calls and e-mails, and is also available for one-on-one scheduled visits and appearances at more formal venues, but he sees the coffee klatches as opportunities for more relaxed and informal conversations with citizens, where he hopes they’ll feel less intimidated and more free to share their concerns.

The Council Chambers are located on the second floor of Marysville City Hall at 1049 State Ave. Please RSVP to Lynn Schroeder by phone at 360-363-8091 or via e-mail at lschroeder@marysvillewa.gov. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
