Nicole Walker of Marysville, Washington, passed away at the UW Medical Center on January 27th, 2019. She was 59.
Nicole was the youngest child of six siblings, and was born April 16, 1959, in Montreal, Canada. She immigrated as a young girl with her family to California, and graduated from South Gate High School in South Gate, California in 1977.
She met Rex Walker while they were both students at Ceritos College, and they were married in 1983. She proudly became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1985.
She lived in Marysville with her family for 29 years. She was a woman of many talents, and worked as a stay-at-home mother, mechanical drafter, office manager, bookkeeper, and most notably was the co-owner of Marysville Floral from 2001 to 2011.
She was a talented artist, and will always be remembered through the dozens of beautiful pieces of art she shared with her family and friends. Nicole is survived by her mother, sisters, and brother, her husband of 35 years, Rex Walker, of Marysville, their children, Renée Walker, of Idaho Falls, ID, and Robert Walker, of Arlington, his wife Rachel Walker, as well as their three children. She is preceded in death by her father. A Celebration of Life will be held at 92nd St. Church of Christ in Marysville on February 8th at 11:00 a.m.
