Mary Tolbert Wold, of Arlington, went home to be with the Lord, January 30, 2019.
Mary was born December, 7, 1935 to Alpha and Joe Tolbert in Miami, TX. She was the sixth of seven children and graduated from Miami High School in 1954
as Salutatorian of her class. After high school, she attended Draughan Business College in Amarillo, TX. After college she worked at Phillips Petroleum Co. and Sears Roebuck in various bookkeeping and auditing positions.
August 1, 1959 she married Hubert Wold and in 1965 they moved to Arlington, WA. In Arlington, she worked for Montgomery Ward, Sears, and David and John Kidd DDS. For the next 26 years, she was the bookkeeper at Arlington Hardware & Lumber until she was diagnosed with cancer.
She won that fight but shortly after, she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease which she battled until the end of her life.
She loved children and spent many years teaching Sunday school at various local churches. Mary was a very generous soul and loved helping people.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alpha and Joe Tolbert; brothers, Bill Tolbert, Dr. George Tolbert; sisters, Blanche Osborne, Lola Simpson and
Ina Seuhs.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert Wold; brother, James (Janie) Tolbert; daughters, Debbie (Larry) Huff, and Tammy Wold; grandchildren, Lindsay (Chris) Hartsburg, Jodie (Brett) Smith and Jared Huff; and two great grandchildren, Greyson Hartsburg and Olivia Smith.
A memorial will be held at Arlington Free Methodist Church on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 3 p.m.
