All three local boys Wesco baseball teams won Wednesday night, but only Marysville Getchell also won its softball game.
Eagle pitcher Owen Bishop fanned 11 and walked just one in throwing a 3-hitter over six innings in blanking Everett 10-0.
Andrew Smith went 2-4 with an RBI, while Dylan Corpron was 1-1, scored twice and knocked in a run.
After losing badly to Snohomish the day before, MG beat the same team 7-6. Josiah Koellmer hit a double and knocked in a run, while Caleb Koellmer hit a single and had 2 RBI. Trevor Loucks went 2-2 with two stolen bases and he scored twice. Sean Brown, 2-0, was the winning pitcher.
Kyle Nyblod smashed a home run and had 2 RBI while going 2-3 in Marysville-Pilchuck’s 9-5 win over Stanwood.
Braden Rodgers also hit a homer and knocked in 3 runs. Jordan Justice hit two triples and Daniel Kirkwood went 3-4 with an RBI. Five M-P errors helped keep Stanwood in the game.
In girls softball, MG beat Kamiak 7-5 as Brionna Palm struck out 15 and walked none in seven innings. Hailey Kranz led the Chargers at the plate going 3-4 with two doubles and an RBI. She also scored twice. Faith Lampinen also went 3-4 and she knocked in two runs.
M-P lost to Lake Stevens 7-2. Kelsey Campbell and Cassidy Phelps both went 2-3 for the Tommies. Arlington committed five errors in falling to Burlington-Edison 3-1. Skyla Newsom and Heather Broyles both went 2-2 for the Eagles, while Madisyn Estes went 2-3 and Tia Langley knocked in their only run.
In girls golf, MG lost at Snohomish. For the Chargers, Nicole Phengmuang shot a 49, Amie Kontel a 53, Nat Furness a 58 and Emily Reynolds a 59.
In Northwest 2A girls tennis action, Ferndale edged Lakewood 4-3.
