LAKEWOOD – Jasmine Nguyen of Marysville Getchell was the top local finisher placing fifth, but the depth of Arlington’s girls team put them in second place at the Wesco 3A Championships at Lakewood High School Saturday.
Glacier Peak won for the girls with 111, with Arlington at 118. MG had 157, to finish 4th. M-P was 20th.
For the Eagle girls, Paige Nelson was 15th, Anne Louise Fernandez 16th, Maggie Delaney 28th, Hannah Johnson 29th, Kate Rosson 30th and Tailer Cockran 31st.
Nguyen’s time was 18 minutes, 47.2 seconds. Also for the Chargers, Julia Rea was 11th and Jane Parsons 13th.
Alexia Sandoval was M-P’s top finisher at 60th.
