MARYSVILLE — Those served by St. Joseph’s House in Marysville willbenefit from a collection drive for warm winter clothes that’s continuing through the end of the month.
The Haggen Food and Pharmacy store in Marysville, located at 3711 88th St. NE, is among those accepting donations through Jan. 31 for Operation Winter Warmth, co-sponsored by KAFE 104.1 FM, to distribute new and gently used coats, hats, gloves and scarves to children and adults alike in northwest Washington.
“For most of us, it’s easy to put on a warm coat when the weather gets chilly,” said Becky Skaggs, spokesperson for the Haggen stores. “But for many children and adults in our communities, keeping warm isn’t that easy. We encourage everyone to look through their closets and drawers with a generous spirit.”
