Justin Davich, 19, son of Jeff Davich, has accepted a call to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the McAllen, Texas Spanish-speaking mission which is located on the Texas-Mexico border. He has worked the past three years at the Arlington Haggens to save enough money required to pay for his own expenses while serving those two years as a missionary.
Davich is an Eagle Scout and a 2006 graduate of Arlington High School. He studied Spanish in school and is excited that he has the opportunity to use his language skills while on his mission. When asked how he felt regarding his call to serve in Texas, Justin replied, I felt like it was the right place to go.
He enters the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah on May 30 where he will spend two months intensely studying the Spanish language and culture in preparation for his mission.
