First responders from the Marysville Fire District and the Marysville Police Department were joined by city officials and residents Thursday morning at a brief and solemn ceremony at the Police and Firefighters Memorial at the Marysville Library to remember the events of Sept. 11 and to honor those who lost their lives.

The Marysville Fire District Honor Guard performed the four fives — the ringing of a bell four sets of five times — which is used by the New York City Fire Department to signal when a firefighter has lost their life in the line of duty.
