MARYSVILLE — Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring is seeking individuals interested in filling vacancies on the city of Marysville’s Planning Commission and Library Board.

The successful nominee to the Planning Commission would serve a six-year term. Applicants must reside within Marysville city limits. The seven-member Planning Commission is an advisory board to the mayor and the Marysville City Council on issues such as land use, critical areas and shoreline management planning, and long-range planning issues. The commission meets at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month in the Marysville City Hall, located at 1049 State Ave.

Applicants for the Library Board position must reside within Marysville School District area boundaries or within Marysville city limits. The seven-member board meets at 4 p.m. on the second Thursdays of odd-numbered months in the Marysville Public Library, located at 6120 Grove St. Terms are for five years.

Both positions are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
