MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Police Department will conduct a public notification meeting

Oct. 28 to release information regarding a Level III sex offender residing within the city limits of Marysville.

Eugenio Fernandez has registered as a sex offender with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and will be residing on the 15400 block of 51st Avenue NE in Marysville. Fernandez is a 42-year-old Hispanic man who stands 5’4”, weighs 151 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.

According to official documents, Fernandez was convicted of rape in the first degree, after breaking into the home of an unknown 17-year-old girl while she was sleeping, physically assaulting her, threatening to kill her, and then sexually assaulting her. Level III sex offenders are those offenders whose risk assessments indicate a high risk of re-offense within the community at large.

The public meeting will start at 7 p.m.,

Oct. 28, in the Marysville Public Safety Building on 1635 Grove St. This notification is not intended to cause fear, but is instead intended to make the public more informed and safer.
