MARYSVILLE — At approximately 8 p.m. on Jan. 27, Marysville Police were dispatched to the parking lot of the 7-11 store at 1114 State Ave., in response to a reported female gunshot victim.
Further investigation revealed that the female Marysville resident had not been shot, but had instead been hit in the back of the head with a pistol, and that it was during this assault that the pistol was discharged.
The female victim explained that she was at the Taco Bell restaurant at the corner of Seventh Street and State Avenue, when she recognized a man in a gold truck at that location and asked him for a ride.
The male driver also had a male passenger, and when she attempted to exit the truck at the 7-11 store, the male passenger struck the back of her head with the pistol, but she was still able to exit the vehicle and obtain assistance from the 7-11 employee.
The victim was transported to the Colby Campus of Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, while the gold truck left the area with both the male driver and the male passenger. Both men are being sought in connection with the assault by the Marysville Police Department Investigations Division, which can be reached at 360-363-8326.
