MARYSVILLE — Marysville Fire Crews were dispatched to the Port Susan Camping Club at approximately 8:30 p.m. on April 26, following reports of a possible explosion at a trailer in the 1800 block of Blossom.
First arriving crews discovered a travel trailer, approximately 30 feet long, and the fifth wheel next to it fully engulfed in flames.
The next arriving unit, a tender, supplied the first engine with water, as crews went on the defensive to fight the fire.
There was no evidence of an explosion.
Crews from Marysville were assisted by Tulalip Bay Fire, North County Fire and EMS, and Getchell Fire, for a total manpower of 28.
Both structures were total losses, at an estimated dollar value of $70,000 for the structures and their contents. The owners had four canaries and three fish tanks which did not survive.
There were no injuries to report. The structures were not insured.
