EVERETT — Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County will present a five-week, 20-hour community education and volunteer training class from April 16 through May 14 in downtown Everett.

Class will run from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Mondays, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 21. This class is provided free of charge to volunteers willing to commit 10 hours of volunteer time within a six-month period for Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County.

Class topics will include an overview and history of domestic violence, the effects of domestic violence on children, “In Her Shoes,” the roles that drugs and alcohol can play in domestic violence, safety planning, sexual assault, legal advocacy, diversity, and volunteer opportunities at Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County.
