MARYSVILLE — Marysville residents are invited to meet with Mayor Jon Nehring for coffee and conversation from 10-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29.

The next coffee klatsch in this occasional series will be in the newly-opened Marysville YMCA Teen Development Center, 6420 60th Drive NE. Please RSVP by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 to Executive Asst. Lynn Schroeder at 360-363-8091 or e-mail lschroeder@marysvillewa.gov.

Topics are typically as open and varied as citizens want to talk about, says Nehring. He advocates open public communications through responding to phone calls and e-mails from constituents, as well as one-on-one scheduled visits and various formal venues.By comparison, chats over coffee are designed to be more relaxed, informal and hopefully less intimidating for some citizens to discuss their concerns.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
