MARYSVILLE – The Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting a family that was victimized of an accidental fire Feb. 24.

The fire caused an estimated $35,000 in damage to a bedroom in the home in the 6100 block of 99th Place NE.

Marysville Fire Marshal Tom Maloney said two people were treated for minor burns and smoke exposure, but everyone was able to get out on their own.

More than 22 firefighters helped put out the blaze within five minutes, Maloney added. The fire was reported just before 3 p.m.
