MARYSVILLE – Just after 9 a.m. on Friday, July 6, Marysville Police responded to a residence in the 5900 block of 64th Street where two people were discovered dead.
Police received a call from an 82-year-old Marysville man who indicated that he believed hiswife and his grandson were dead in the living room of his home. When police arrived they found the man’s 69-year-old wife and his 26-year-old grandson dead. The grandson had just recently moved from Florida into his grandparent’s home. According to the grandfather the grandson had mental health issues and was not taking his prescribed medication.
“We are in the very early stages of a death investigation, with lots of questions that still need to be answered. Because of the unanswered questions we cannot speculate as to what has occurred, however, we do believe strongly this is not a random act of violence and that there is no immediate threat of danger to local residents,” according to Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux of the Marysville Police Department.
