I would like to thank the Sunnyside PTSA and the Sunnyside community in Marysville for the support they have shown for the music program at Sunnyside Elementary School. On March 14, there was a garage sale at the school sponsored by the PTSA.
Parents and students donated items to sell and from this sale a great deal of money was raised to purchase instruments. As the music teacher, I am so grateful for all of the hard work that went into this sale. I would like to specifically thank the officers of the PTSA Cindy Booth, Melanie Ross, Danielle Kunselman and Jennifer Martin. These women have done so much for our school.
All across the state music programs are in dire need of financial support. School districts are putting the arts at the bottom of the barrel. It means a great deal to me to have parents and students step up and help fund the music program. Thank you very much.
