Marysville Police investigating Thursday morning shooting

At approximately 1:32 a.m. Thursday morning Marysville Police were notified by Providence Everett Medical Center, Pacific Campus that an adult male had arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to the left leg. Officers interviewed the injured 32-year-old Marysville man at the hospital.

MARYSVILLE — At approximately 1:32 a.m. Thursday morning Marysville Police were notified by Providence Everett Medical Center, Pacific Campus that an adult male had arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to the left leg. Officers interviewed the injured 32-year-old Marysville man at the hospital.

The man stated he and his cousin, a 30-year-old Marysville man, had returned to the house he had been staying at in the 14200 block of 55 Ave. NE in Marysville. The house is owned by his cousin, who does not live there. The man said he left his cousin with the car and went to open the garage door. Once he went inside the garage, he was confronted by an armed adult male subject described as a white male with shaggy hair. The suspect shot the man once in the leg then fled back into the house. The man stated he heard at least one additional person in the residence. The man said he thought he heard the suspects leave.

Officers arrived at the residence to find all the doors locked and secured. Marysville Detectives were called out to investigate the assault of the man and the residential burglary.
