MARYSVILLE — The 13-week “Financial Peace University” course is returning to Marysville this fall.
Mountain View Presbyterian Church, located at 5115 100th St. NE, will host the classes starting on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m.
The Marysville Church of the Nazarene, located at 8240 64th St. NE, will host the classes starting on Monday, Sept. 19, at 6:30 p.m.
FPU is intended to teach families and individuals how to plan their money usage in order to free themselves of debt and build lasting wealth.
Each lesson is followed by a small group discussion that’s designed to provide accountability and encouragement. Topics covered by the course include saving for emergencies, budgeting, relationships and money, and getting out debt.
“FPU is a fun and easy-to-understand program,” said Dave Ramsey, who teaches the classes by DVD. “Whether you are deeply in debt or financially secure, FPU will help you gain a new perspective on how to handle your money. These lessons are especially essential right now, as people are trying to regain control of their finances.”
Each class participant will need the kit that includes a lifetime family membership to FPU, an FPU workbook and envelope system, 13 audio lessons, a bonus CD, budgeting forms, debit card holders and Ramsey’s best-selling book, “Financial Peace.”
