For the past five years, the Marysville Community Food Bank has been very fortunate to have a caring family support us in so many ways, even though they were grieving themselves over the loss of their sister.
The Jubie family has been holding garage sales in the parking lot of the food bank, usually in November when it was wet, cold and miserable weather. During those years, the Jubies have raised and contributed nearly $100,000 to the Food Bank, including more then $20,000 they raised last weekend at their annual sale.
This unselfish giving of time, energy and effort in adverse conditions is a good lesson to everyone in the value of profound strength. We cannot thank the Jubie family, extended family members, and friends enough for all they do to help us feed the hungry in our community.
The food banks board of directors, volunteers, clients and all others associated with food collection and distribution want to convey our heart-felt gratitude to the Jubie family for all they do. Our entire community should join us in expressing the same appreciation.
Michael L. Mulligan, president
MCFB Board of Directors
