Thank you, thank you, Bob Graef, for doing the research and taking the time to add some of the missing tales of truth as to our own countrys wrong doing around the globe. I hope this can be an eye opener to those folks who persist in seeing us as the great and shining city on the hill full of mighty saints who can lead the whole world in the path of righteousness.
The final list in his piece History, as Written Here and Elsewhere, [published Nov. 29, 2006, The Marysville Globe] Kinshasa, Kabul, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Cairo, Manila, Caracas, Bogota Phnom Penh, Ujung Pandang, Ho Chi Minh City along with the countries listed in the article Iran, Peru, Congo, Laos, Cuba form an impressive string of misdeeds around our globe.
As he emphasizes, these errors of both omission and commission are not covered well or at all in our history books or by the corporate media. But, as he also adds, the people in those far flung countries know the truth, even as we, in the dark about all this, ask ourselves why America is under suspicion and dislike by so many who do not share our boundaries.
It is not our freedom and prosperity, which put us under such a shadow, but the arrogant, self-serving behavior of so many we have elected to govern us.
I also want to thank the editor for his research a week or so ago in vetting Adeles column and thanks for the occasional Jim Hightower editorial piece. He always hits the nail on the head squarely.
