Tip a Cop 2009

Police officers from Arlington, Marysville and Lake Stevens and other departments around Snohomish County will trade in their handcuffs and badges for aprons and menus to earn tips at the Red Robin at Lakewood Crossing from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 18 in a fundraiser for Special Olympics. The Celebrity Waiters will welcome generous tips from restaurant guests to help meet their goal of $150,000. In addition, through April 18, Red Robin patrons are encouraged to purchase a medal coaster for any dollar amount to help raise funds and awareness of local Special Olympics programs. The funds raised aid SOWA in providing year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. For more information on the “Tip-A-Cop” visit the Special Olympics Washington Web site at www.sowa.org.
