French students offer Readers’ Theater
Advanced French students at Arlington High School will perform a Readers’ Theater production, “France et la Shoah: History in Quotations.” Presented mostly in English this year, the performance is backed by a slideshow with subtitles when necessary, said advisor to the project Sue Weingarten, former French and drama teacher at AHS. “Last year we did a wonderful story of the Children of Izieu, who were hiding out, were betrayed, and deported to Auschwitz. Although a sad tale, it was a moving performance.” This year’s performance is scheduled for 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 13 in the Byrnes Perfoming Arts Center.
