Silvana Fair adds games for kids

The Silvana Fair starts at

Glass art for teens

Bev Shatz is teaching a class on glass designed especially for middle school students and it runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., July 28 and 29. The class covers various types of glass art with practical tips on using glass to it’s fullest potential. Students will explore techniques to capture color and design, and make a suncatcher or two, learn to cut, foil and solder glass at the Arlington High School art room, at right of main entrance, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd.

24th Snohomish Garden Tour

The Snohomish Garden Club will present its 24th annual garden tour from noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 27. Tickets are $15 on the day of the tour at the Snohomish Public Library, located at 4th and Maple in downtown Snohomish. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Sunnyside Nursery in Marysville, at McDaniel’s Do It Center in Snohomish and The Weed Patch at Country Village in Bothell. Seven gardens are featured in historic downtown Snohomish and in the Dutch Hill area east of town. Five of the gardens are new to the tour circuit and have never been open to the public before.

Proceeds from the tour fund community projects sponsored by the Snohomish Garden Club, including the hanging flower baskets in downtown Snohomish.
