Arlington Idol auditions end

Auctions for the

second annual Arlington Idol contest continue with one more session Thursday, June 18, at Denton Massage School, singers age 14 and up are encouraged to audition for the contest to be held July 10 in conjunction with the Arlington Street Fair. ‘Merry Wives of Windsor’ in

Terrace Park

Last Leaf Productions presents “Merry Wives of Windsor” on the terraces of Terrace Park, at 809 E. 5th Ave., in Arlington starting at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 20. Bring a comfy folding chair or blanket to enjoy the William Shakespeare comedy, funded by the city of Arlington and the Friends of the Arlington Library. Art at Marysville Library

Round Robin member Carolyn McInnis is displaying paintings in the entryway cabinet at the Marysville Library through June. She also has work in a display with fellow Round Robin members Joyce Harvey and Marilyn Lisk, who are showing wood burning and “Bear Bread” works in the rear display cabinet at the library.

Introduction to

coffee roasting

Learn the craft of roasting coffee with Caroline Sumpter, who will introduce and demonstrate the simple method of roasting coffee with the most basic home cookware, from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 25. Participants will taste the nuances of home versus micro-roaster versus macro-roaster coffee. The $25 fee includes a pound of shade-grown organic coffee beans for roasting. The class is offered in the Community Room at the Boys and Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE, in Arlington. Pre-register 360-403-3448.

Village Community Services’ annual fundraiser, Taste of Decadence is June 26 at Smokey Point Community Church, 17721 Smokey Point Blvd., in Arlington. The event includes delicious desserts and appetizers, inspirational speaker Dylan Kuehl, and music by Voices of the Village.
