Marysville-Pilchuck High School Class of 2009 parent group is holding a wine tasting fundraiser 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18 at Wine Styles, 6608 64th St. NE, in Marysville. Proceeds benefit the M-PHS Class of 2009 After Grad Party.

Pioneer Days
The Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Museum is seeking volunteers for its Pioneer Days Sept. 20. They need people to help demonstrate cow milking, butter churning, shake splitting, nail pounding and washing laundary with a wash board to illustrate some of the old skills long gone from noon to 4 p.m. A hay-ride shuttle will run from downtown’s new Community Day event to the museum during the four-hour celebration of the old days in the Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Museum. Babysitting basics
An course for youth ages 10 – 14, offered by Campfire, will help participants learn how to feed and diaper infants and toddlers, handle children’s bed and bath routines, set limits and handle troublesome behaviors, prevent accidents and respond to emergencies. Participants must attend both days to receive certification. Bring sack lunch or snack. The class is offered in the Community Room of the Arlington Boys and Girls Club, 18513 59th Avenue NE, Arlington, Saturday, Sept. 20 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Class fee is $30. Estate planning
The city of Arlington’s attorney, Steve Peiffle is offering a class on estate planning. He will explain wills, powers of attorney, revocable living trusts, living wills, and when they should (and should not) be used. He will talk about probate and whether you should try to avoid it or not, and how to learn the difference between a sales pitch and good information, and even how to find a good lawyer. Although this is in a group setting, the instructor leaves plenty of time for questions specific to your situation. The instructor has practiced estate planning law for over 20 years. The Ken Baxter Senior/Community Center is seeking people who are interested in volunteering or being paid to teach classes. Homecoming parade, pepination
Arlington High School has announced its homecoming parade starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 on North Olympic Avenue in downtown Arlington.
