You’re never too old for an Egg Hunt according to the Downtown Arlington Business Association. That’s why they are the only ones presenting an egg hunt for adults. DABA’s Golden Egg Hunt runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 11, and offers the chance to win one of three big baskets full of goodies.
This is a perfect excuse to spend a few hours exploring downtown Arlington’s shops, said organizer Julie Tate.
“There are all kinds of egg hunts for kids,” Tate said. “We decided to make ours for adults.”
She said that 26 merchants are participating, most on North Olympic Avenue.
“The pharmacy and the coffee shop are the only participants over on West Avenue,” Tate said. Every merchant has a list of participating businesses, so egg hunters are encouraged to grab a list and go hunting in this second annual Golden Egg Hunt.
Contents of the three baskets are donated by downtown Arlington merchants.
When you find a golden egg, report to Julie’s Barber & Styling, at 413 N. Olympic Ave. to collect your prize, and get your picture taken for the newspaper.

visits Arlington for
Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Bunny will be supervising Arlington’s Easter Egg Hunt starting 11 a.m., Saturday, April 11. Presented by the city of Arlington with help from Cascade Valley Hospital and Arlington United Church, the event takes place just off 172nd Street at 51st Avenue, at Arlington Airport, said coordinator Sarah Hegge.
“Children up to 12 should bring their own Easter baskets to collect thousands of plastic eggs,” Hegge said. Prizes will be awarded to those who find the extra special eggs and the Easter Bunny has agreed to pose for pictures with children. Parents should bring their cameras. Volunteers from Cascade Valley Hospital will be helping out, and Arlington United Church will be serving hot chocolate and cookies. To find the egg hunt, turn north on 51st Ave at the light off of 172nd Street, and park in the grass.
Egg hunting in Marysville
Marysville’s annual Easter Egg Hunt features thousands of plastic eggs filled with prizes and candy, from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11 at Jennings Memorial Park. The eggs will be hidden in and around the Rotary Ranch for children up to 8 years old. Kids should be reminded there is an eight-egg limit per participant, so don’t bring too many baskets. Do bring a canned food item for the food bank and leave pets at home. The egg hunt is sponsored by Marysville Parks and Recreation, Marysville Noon Rotary Club and Grandview Village. Assembly invites community to egg hunt
Arlington Assembly of God will be having an Egg Hunt 1 p.m., April 11 at Presidents Elementary School fields for ages 10 months up to fifth-grade are welcome to join in the fun. They are planning four hunts for different age groups and one basket will be given away at each hunt.
Oso’s egg hunt
Residents of the Oso area between Arlington and Darrington are invited to the Oso Egg Hunt with a bake sale and raffle, Saturday, April 11, at the Oso Fire Hall. The hunt starts at noon for age groups, up to 3, 4 to 6, and 7 to 10. French dip sandwiches are available for $2 as well as lots of great raffle items. Donations are welcome and helpers to assemble baskets should gather at the fire hall noon Friday, April 10. Presented by the fire district auxiliary, new members are always welcome.
