MARYSVILLE – Seattle Seahawks mascot Blitz thanked Marysville-Pilchuck High School and Marysville Windermere Realty for raising money to fight homelessness at an assembly Friday.
Dan Petersen of Windermere explained that the Seahawks had a competition among Puget Sound high schools.
He said the Marysville Windermere is paying $50 for every touchdown the M-P and MG football teams score this year to donate to Maud House in Marysville, which provides housing to homeless women and children.
Petersen said agents are donating the money, and they expect to pay about $3,000 by season’s end.
He said M-P beat out teams like Bellevue, Mercer Island and Lakes.
In going 6-0 so far this season, M-P has outscored its opponents 232-58.
In going 1-5 this season, MG has been outscored 97-186.
