MARYSVILLE — After a one-year hiatus last year, the city of Marysville invites residents and visitors alike to the return of its annual “Touch a Truck” event Sept. 11.
Totem Middle School will host the big rigs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1605 7th St.
“Touch a Truck” is a free event that puts kids in the drivers’ seats of Marysville’s heavy-duty vehicles, where they can honk horns, set off sirens and learn about the various cars, trucks and other vehicles from the workers who drive them.
Dump trucks, backhoes, Vactor trucks, police patrol vehicles, garbage trucks, fire rigs and more will be on display.
The Marysville Rotary will offer activities for kids and the Marysville Kiwanis Club will have tasty treats for sale.
For more information, call 360-363-8400. No pets, please. Horns and sirens will sound from 10 a.m. to noon only.
