Eric studies piano with Maria Sier of Snohomish. He will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Debussy, Ginastera and Copland, as well as one of his own compositions. Eric has won many piano performance awards on county and state levels and his compositions for piano, brass quintet, and concert band have received awards in county, state, and national competitions, most notably from National PTA and from Music Educators National Conference. Indeed, his work was performed at the recent 2008 national convention of MENC and his most recent piano composition has been choreographed for dance by Dean Speer of Seattle and will be performed at the Arlington School of Dance recital June 6 and 7.
Colleen was recently honored as a Washington Scholar and will be attending the University of Washington come fall.
Eric intends to pursue a career in composing, conducting and performing.
