MARYSVILLE – Donald Lester beat out 28 other competitors to win the Marysville Strawberry Festival Talent Show Thursday night.
Lester, a pianist, performed a classic solo called “Rhapsody.” Other winners were:
•Dance ages 4-7: 1. Vivien Palmer, “I will always love you.” 2. McKinnley Myers, Grace McShane, Hailey Nelson, Penelope Distefano, Rylee Neeleman and Sophia Johnson. “A Day for the Cat in the Hat.”
•Dance ages 8-9: 1. Grace Tift, “Halo.” 2. Amarah Talluto, Parker Distefano, “Your Song.”
•All, ages 9-10: 1. Emma Griffith, dance, “All I Want.” 2. Rachel Zemanek, singing “Ben.” 3. Abigail Sarr, pianist, “Little Study.”
•Dance, ages 11-12: 1. Klara Darby, “King.” 2. Rylee Oehlert, “Let it Go.”
•All, ages 11-12: 1. McKenzie Raynor, ballet, “Harry Potter.” 2. Roman Soriano-Sanchez, singing “Hallelujah.” 3. Elizabeth Sarr, singer-pianist, “Evermore.”
•All, ages 12-15: 1. Donald Lester, pianist, “Rhapsody.” 2. Alejandro Morales, pianist, “City of Stars.” 3. Jessica Zemanek, singing “Wishing you were somehow here again.”

Marcy Giesler was the director, Ted Wright the emcee, and the judges were: Teresa Bates, Keith Taylor, Bekki Bingham, Javier Aranda and Roy Klementsen.
