It’s never too early to start planning for the holidays.
Less than a month from now both Arlington and Marysville plan their holiday parades.
Marysville’s event, called Merrysville for the Holidays, will take place Saturday, Dec. 3, at Comeford Park downtown.
It starts at 5 p.m. with family activities, a photo booth and a craft show. The Electric Light Parade follows at 6:30 p.m., featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus. At 7 p.m. is the lighting of the Marysville Water Tower, along with a bonfire.
In Arlington, its Hometown Holidays event and parade also is Dec. 3. It is earlier in the day so Santa can make it there, too, from noon to 3 p.m.
Another annual tradition in Marysville is the Holiday Tour of Lights at the Cedarcrest Golf Course. Fans of Christmas lights ride around the course in the Rotary Train.
The events will be Dec. 8-10 and 19-22 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per family, $5 for adults and $3 for kids.
