The mother of a fiddle player who has been seen around town a lot lately, Victoria Simcox will read from her new book at the new Strawberry Festival event especially for kids, the Party in the Park, at Totem Middle School 4:30-6 p.m., June 20.
It’ll be rush, however, since she is also signing her her new children’s fantasy novel, “The Magic Warbler,” from 1-4 p.m., June 20, at Borders Books at the Everett Mall.
Published by Two Harbors, “The Magic Warble” will capture your heart. Filled with dwarfs, gnomes, fairies, talking animals and an evil queen, it is an enchanting tale of adventure and friendship.
Also an elementary school art teacher, Simcox will be talking with children, parents and anyone else young at heart about her book. All kids that attend will receive a bookmark and gel bracelet with “Magic Warble” inscribed on it.
The 268-page book features cover art by Amanda Swanson.
She will also be reading from the book at Uppercase Books, at 611 Second St. in Snohomish from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, June 27.
