ARLINGTON — Lisa Watkins, of Arlington’s River Rock Inn, is president this year of the Washington Bed and Breakfast Guild, the only statewide professional organization for innkeepers in the state.
Watkins hosted the Arlington City Council retreat recently, serving a splendid lunch to the group of more than 30 people.
She said that all the members of the guild offer a unique experience to every guest, while the high standard of quality remains the same through regular inspections by an independent inspector for quality assurance.
Along with the Watkin’s River Rock Inn, local B&Bs include Country Cedar Inn near Granite Falls, The Wild Iris in LaConner and Gaylord House in Everett.
At The Wild Iris Inn in LaConner you can rest weary feet in a two-person jetted tub, while you nibble on complimentary home-baked cookies waiting in your room or relax in your suite by the fireplace, Watkins said. Arlington’s River Rock Inn offers a two-person jetted tub and spa shower surrounded by towering trees, with an optional hot stone massage or a special dinner for two.
The Country Cedar Inn in Granite Falls offers relaxing views of the surrounding five acres of forest at the foot of the Cascade Mountains with your delicious multi-course breakfast and Gaylord House in Everett will make you feel at home in their historic neighborhood of tree-lined streets. All rooms have private baths with a extra special breakfasts included and complimentary sherry.
