Citizens of Marysville, Tulalip and Everett are encouraged to join state Sen. John McCoy, and state representatives Mike Sells and June Robinson, for a telephone town hall early Tuesday evening, Jan. 21, from 6-7 p.m.

Shortly before 6 p.m., thousands of 38th Legislative District citizens will receive telephone calls inviting them to stay on the line to participate in the telephone town hall.

Folks who want to ask a question, or just listen to the program, will need to press *3 — press the “star” button, and then press the “3” button.

Anyone who doesn’t receive such a call is still encouraged to call the toll-free telephone number directly, at 1-877-229-8493, and then enter the number “18646” when prompted for the PIN code.

This “tele-forum” is an opportunity for citizens to bring up questions, comments and concerns about topics related to the Washington State Legislature.

The three lawmakers also emphasize that citizens should feel very free to contact them individually, whenever they want to get something off their chests.

Those who want to send messages to lawmakers can always call the toll-free numbers 1-800-562-6000, or 1-800-635-9993 for hearing-impaired citizens.

McCoy, Sells, Robinson and their 144 lawmaking colleagues are striving toward a March 13 deadline for completing work in the two-month 2014 legislative session.
