MARYSVILLE — A three-car collision on June 25, blocked Cedar Avenue in Marysville and sent two people to the hospital.
Officers responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. to the accident in the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue, According to Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux of the Marysville Police Department, responding officers learned that a small SUV traveling southbound on Cedar Avenue drifted into the northbound lane side-swiping a late model passenger car, then continued in the wrong lane until hitting a pick-up truck head-on.
The driver of the SUB, a 41-year-old Everett woman, was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries then released, according to Cmdr. Lamoureux. No other injuries were reported.
Members of the Marysville Police Department’s Collision Investigation Team were called out to investigate due to the severity of the injuries. The team will try to determine what caused the SUV to drift into the on-coming lane of travel.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is on-going.
