MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Community Food Bank and Toy Store officially kicks off its holiday collection efforts with the All City Food Drive on Saturday, Nov. 6. Various volunteer organizations will be stationed at many area grocery stores to encourage donations, and to share information about the annual toy drive for local children. During the holiday season, look for the familiar red giving barrels at entrances and lobbies in more than 50 participating grocers, businesses, public buildings and places of worship.
Mike Mulligan, President of the Marysville Community Food Bank Board of Directors said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved on a local level to help those in need in our community. Marysville residents have always been incredibly supportive of the food bank and we hope we can fill the shelves of the Marysville Community Food Bank with this effort on Nov. 6.”
Suggested items are listed on the page below and volunteers will have lists at the various stores.
Volunteers collecting for the All City Food Drive will be at the following Marysville stores: Fred Meyer, IGA, Albertsons (both north and south stores), Haggen, Grocery Outlet and Safeway from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov 6.
