EVERETT – The Snohomish County Auditor is encouraging voters who have made up their mind on the General Election’s many issues and races to vote and return their ballot as soon as possible. With high interest in this year’s election, the Auditor’s Office anticipates designated drop locations will be busy on Election Day with possible wait times for parking.
“It’s great to hear the continued buzz about this year’s General Election. With so many people planning to vote, I encourage voters to return their ballot as soon as they are ready and avoid potential Election Day lines at our drop boxes,” said County Auditor Carolyn Weikel.
Voters choosing to return their voted ballot through the mail must ensure that the return envelope is postmarked no later than Nov. 2. Voters may return their voted ballot postage free to any 24-hour ballot drop box located in Snohomish County, including ones in Arlington and Marysville. Ballots can be deposited at these locations any time until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
The two local 24-hour ballot drop boxes are:
Arlington Sno-Isle Library
135 N Washington Ave, Arlington
Marysville Sno-Isle Library
6120 Grove St, Marysville
More information is listed on the insert delivered with each ballot and can also be found online at www.snoco.org/elections. Voted ballots returned to the 24-hour ballot drop boxes must be deposited directly into the ballot drop box; staff at the sites will not accept ballots.
Voters may also choose to drop their ballot off directly at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office. The Snohomish County Auditor’s Office is located on the first floor of the Snohomish County Administration Building, 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will have extended hours on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
