MARYSVILLE — For the third year in a row, the Cascade Elementary campus will be benefiting from volunteer labor through the Cascade Community Cleanup, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.

“I personally started this three years ago, when a few mothers and I were just saddened by the school’s cutbacks and lack of TLC for the campus,” said event organizer Laura Berry. “We started the Cascade Community Cleanup to get the community involved in helping us make the school less of an eyesore, to give our children a school to be proud of.”

According to Berry, the Cascade Community Cleanup crew has a number of items on its list of things in need of repair, but she believes that, with the community pitching in, they can accomplish those tasks together.
