Special Eagles
Registration for the Arlington Eagles Special Olympics is due April 1. The Special Olympic Team is seeking athletes, volunteers and a shot put coach. Track and field training will start soon. Practice is 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays at Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd., in Arlington. Athletes must be 8-years-old and above. “We have athletes of all ages and abilities,” said Coach Sandy Catiss. Drama troupe on tour
The University Players, an eight-person touring drama troupe from George Fox University in Newberg, Ore., will perform at Olympic Place Retirement on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 6 pm. The Players perform short plays that they write and develop themselves. The plays last from five to 25 minutes each.

Pancake breakfast
The annual pancake breakfast fundraiser/craft sale hosted by eh Silvana Fire Fighters Association is Saturday April 4, 7 a.m. to noon at Silvana Viking Hall
Donation proceeds will benefit rescue equipment for Fire District 19.

Assistance League® of Everett
Assistance League of Everett’s Kitty Young Auxiliary is hosting “An April Affair” on Saturday, April 25, in the Gretchen DeLap Room at 5107 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA. Doors will open at 12 p.m. for the silent auction. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
The event will feature a luncheon, fashion show, children’s fashion show and a silent auction. Jazzmine, the jazz choir from Arlington High School will provide entertainment. Cost is $25 per person.
Funds raised will help support Operation School Bell® and the other philanthropic programs of Assistance League.

Workshop for Youth
Artists ages 7-13 will learn the techniques for pulling, pushing, poking, rolling, pressing and smoothing clay in this workshop taught by local artist Vicki Carver. Local professional photographer Kent Baker shares his expertise in the area of digital photography through Photography – Travel, Adventure & Vacation.
In this course you will learn how to plan and shoot photos that tell a story and then assemble and present them in a manner that will keep your audience spellbound. This four session course begins March 23 and runs through March 26 from 7-9pm.

Dog Obedience Classes
Do you have a new puppy or a dog that needs some training? This eight-week, one-hour class taught by the Canine Behavior Center will cover all of the basic commands.
Classes begin on Tuesday, March 24 from 7:15-8:15pm and take place at Jones & Company Pets (1340 State Ave., Marysville). All dogs must be fully immunized for their age.
